Police dismisses nine officers over failed strike Nine Nigerian police officers have been dismissed over their roles in the recent strike.  The police officers were dismissed by the  approval of the Inspector-General (IG) Alkali Usman.  They comprised of two inspectors, five sergeants and two constables. They are: AP/No. 245800 – Inspector Nanoll Lamak; AP/NP 287568 – Inspector Amos Nagurah; F/No. 271367 – Sergeant Onoja Onuche; F/No. 442680 – Sergeant Franklin Agughalau; and F/No. 495378 – Sergeant Emmanuel Isah. 25 years old well digger rescued from a well in Kano State Kano Fire Service has rescued a 25-year-old well digger whose name is Abba Yakubu. He was rescued from a well in Nasarawa Local Government Area of the State.  The spokesman of fire service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, made this known in a statement on the 5th of April.
